Lifeguard Training Program

Benchmark Pool Management, Inc. now offers 5-day lifeguard training courses for employees of the company.  Dates and times for training courses in Spring 2012 will be posted at a later date.

You must:

1)  Be at least 15 years of age.

2)  Attend all 5 days of a course in order to be eligible for certification.

3)  Bring a bathing suit, towel, pen, and notebook to each class.

4)  Successfully pass a pre-course skills test which includes (these MUST be completed on the first day of class to continue the final four (4) days):

a.  Swimming 500 meters without stopping while demonstrating both freestyle and breaststroke

b.  Swim 20 meters and submerge to a depth of 7-10 feet using a feet first surface dive. Retrieve a 10 lb diving brick and return to the surface, then swim back to the starting point keeping the brick out of the water.

Certifications will be issued once payment for the course has been received.
